in the Department of Spatial Planning, Urban Design, and Rural Planning Faculty of Architecture Cracow University of Technology

Skills/Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Architecture and Urban Planning,
• A minimum of 10-year professional experience in spatial planning,
• Documented proficiency in English at C1 – CAE level,
• Documented proficiency in German at B1 level,
• Authorization to draft spatial development plans for the province, general municipal plans, and local plans, with proof of having drafted at least 1 local law act in the last 5 years for a city with over 500,000 inhabitants and at least one development strategy in the last 5 years for a city with over 10,000 inhabitants,
• Significant scientific achievements – publication of at least one article in a journal for a minimum of 70 points from the MNiSW list - indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science in the calendar year 2023,
• Documented computer skills in EPP GIS,
• Participation with a presentation in at least 2 international scientific conferences in 2023,
• Possession of pedagogical preparation or its completion in the first year of employment

 

Specific Requirements

• Registration with the Regional Chamber of Architects,
• Documented knowledge of European ecological networks,
• Completion of Preparatory Service in local government,
• Membership in a professional association of urban and spatial planners,
• Research, teaching, or practical experience in urbanism and spatial planning,
• Teaching experience: leading project and exercise groups in Polish or English,
• Collaboration in preparing research project proposals for national and international competitions;
• Experience working in a team and collaborating with institutions, organizations, and foreign universities;
• Knowledge of MS Office, and graphic and specialized software: AutoCAD, Bentley, GIS,
• Indication of architecture and urban planning as the discipline of one's scientific research;
• Indication of Cracow University of Technology as the primary place of work.

• List of achievements, major publications, and unpublished works, and other documents that may affect employment;

Selection process

Employment will take place after conducting a competitive procedure involving:

• Analysis of submitted documents
• Conducting interviews (direct or via internet communicators).

Planned start date of employment: 01.06.2024

Required documents should be submitted to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Architecture at ul. Podchorążych 1, room no. 04 or no. 03 between 8.00 – 14.00. The document folder should contain a note: Regarding the competition for the position of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff, case number A0. .2023. or sent as scans to the email address [email protected]

Documents must be submitted by 19.04.2024

Competition resolution date: by 15.05.2024

Cracow University of Technology reserves the right to contact candidates whose applications meet the essential requirements and have been rated highest by the Recruitment Committee. Information about the competition results will be published on the BIP PK and MNiSW websites.

Submitted documents can be collected at the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Architecture at ul. Podchorążych 1, room no. 04 or no. 03 between 8.00 – 14.00 from 16.05.20204 to 03.06.2024. Documents not collected within this period will be destroyed by a commission.
