Competition for the position of an assistant at the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice Acting on the basis of art. 119, the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2022, item 574) and the Regulations of the competition constituting Annex No. 6 to the Statute of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice I announce a competition for the position of assistant in the group of research and teaching positions at the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Design Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. I. The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements set out in the Law on higher education and science and make a statement that: ● have not been punished with a disciplinary penalty referred to in Art. 276 sec. 1 points 7 and 8 of the Law on Higher Education and Science; ● have full legal capacity; ● enjoy full public rights; ● have not been convicted by a final court judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime. II. Terms of participation in the competition: ● Master's degree in design; ● design achievements in the field of designing digital services and products, including developing a product development strategy; ● research and teaching experience; ● knowledge of Figma, Framer, Adobe CC and modeling software and 3D rendering; ● the ability to program JavaScript, CSS, HTML; ● knowledge of the basics of Arduino electronics; ● knowledge of English at least at B2 level. III. Required documents: ● Application for participation in the competition. ● Design and research curriculum vitae (CV) containing: – a list of implemented and pending projects, with particular emphasis on projects in the area of ​​designing digital services and products; – information on participation in research projects; – information on participation in competitions, exhibitions, conferences, symposiums, workshops; – a list of awards and distinctions in the field of design; – list of articles and publications; – information on organizational, popularizing or training activities in the field of design; – information on cooperation with significant economic and social entities, foundations; – other information that, according to the candidate, may be important in the recruitment process, ● Information about previous didactic activity ● PORTFOLIO (in electronic version) containing visual documentation of achievements project indicated in the list of implemented and pending projects along with the diploma project ● A copy of the diploma - Master's degree in design. ● Certificates, opinions, references (optional) ● Declaration on meeting the criteria indicated in Art. 113 sec. 1 of the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science ● A statement that you have read all the terms and conditions of the competition. ● Statement stating that the Academy will be the candidate's primary place of employment. ● Consent clause for candidates to work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. IV. Deadline and place for submitting documents: until June 18, 2023, at 14:00, The electronic form is preferred to the following address: [email protected] V. The competition committee may invite candidates for interviews during the competition procedure. VI. Planned date of adjudication of the competition: June 21, 2023. VII. Proposed terms of employment: employment contract for a definite period from September 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024, full-time. VIII. Planned employment date: September 1, 2023. IX. After the end of the competition procedure, the documents of the candidates who have not been selected are returned to them or, one month after the end of the competition procedure, they are destroyed. X. The Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice reserves the right to notify only the selected candidate about the results of the competition. XI. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
