OFFER DESCRIPTION

We are looking for person who has:

  • PhD in Economics in the Discipline of Economics or in the field of Social Sciences in the Discipline of Economics and Finance or in the Management Sciences;
  • Specific interests related concerning issues in the field od Transport Economics, Business, Marketing, Mobility, Air Transport;
  • Knowledge of the Polish language to a degree enabling tje preparation and concucting of classes as part of the pensum
  • Knowledge of a foreign language (English) sufficiently to anable the preparation and conducting of classes within the Pensum;
  • Konwledge of Polish and English sufficiently to enable the preparation of scientific publications in these languages;
  • Ability to work in the a team.

The competition is open to person who meet the requirements set out in the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and in the Statue of the University of Gdańsk of June 13, 2019

Date of the qualification interview: set individually with the candidate

Competition deadline: 30/08/2022

Skills/Qualifications

  • a doctoral degree in economics in the discipline of economics or in social sciences in the discipline of economics and finance or in management sciences;
  • Specific interests in transport market issues, mobility, consumer behaviour, marketing, and air transport;
  • knowledge of Polish and English to the extent that it is possible to prepare and teach as part of the teaching load;
  • knowledge of Polish and English to the extent necessary for the preparation of scientific publications in these languages;
  • proven organisational and scientific activity;
  • Documented original scientific output in peer-reviewed journals, including in English, and/or authorship/co-authorship of a monograph;
  • independence in research work, ability to work in a team, willingness to improve scientific and teaching skills;
  • an aptitude for research and teaching;
  • who have experience of teaching in Polish (preferably also in English);
  • A background in statistical analysis and econometric modelling is welcome.
