Competition for the position of an assistant at the Product Design Department of the Design Department at the Product Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice Acting on the basis of art. 119, the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2022, item 574) and the Regulations of the competition constituting Annex No. 6 to the Statute of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice I announce a competition for the position of an assistant in the group of research and teaching positions at the Product Design Department of the Design Department at the Product Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. I. The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements set out in the Law on higher education and science and make a statement that: ● have not been punished with a disciplinary penalty referred to in Art. 276 sec. 1 points 7 and 8 of the Law on Higher Education and Science; ● have full legal capacity; ● enjoy full public rights; ● have not been convicted by a final court judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime. II. Terms of participation in the competition: ● having a master's degree in design in the field of design; ● product design achievements; ● teaching experience; ● knowledge of Solid Works, Rhinoceros, Key Shot, Adobe, Blender software required - description of the level of advancement required; ● knowledge of English at B2 level required. III. Required documents: 1. Application for participation in the competition. 2. CV. 3. List of implemented and pending projects in Poland in the field of design . 4. List of projects implemented and awaiting implementation in the international circulation in the field of design. 5. List of participation in design competitions. 6. List of awards and distinctions in the field of design. 7. List of participation in exhibitions and fairs in the field of design. 8. List of other achievements: participation as a speaker in conferences and symposia, participation in training, cooperation with significant economic and social entities, foundations. 9. List of information about the current didactic activity. 10. Other information that the candidate believes may be important in the recruitment process. 11. PORTFOLIO (in electronic version) containing visual documentation of achievements project indicated in the list of implemented and pending projects plus a diploma project. 12. A certificate or other document confirming knowledge of the English language at B2 level. 13. A copy of the diploma - Master of Arts in the field of design. 14. Certificates, opinions, references (optional). 15. Declaration on meeting the criteria indicated in Art. 113 sec. 1 of the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science. 16. Statement regarding familiarization with all the terms and conditions of the competition. 17. Statement stating that the Academy will be the candidate's primary place of work. 18. Consent clause for candidates to work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. IV. Deadline and place for submitting documents: until June 18, 2023, at 14:00, st. Raciborska 37, 40-074 Katowice. V. The competition committee may invite candidates for interviews during the competition procedure. VI. Planned date of adjudication of the competition: June 21, 2023. VII. Proposed employment conditions: employment contract for a definite period of 01.08.2023. until September 30, 2024 full-time. VIII. Planned date of employment: 01.08.2023. IX. After the end of the competition procedure, the documents of the candidates who have not been selected are returned to them or, one month after the end of the competition procedure, they are destroyed. X. The Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice reserves the right to notify about the results of the competition only of the candidate who will be selected. XI. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
