Offer Description

The aim of the IDUB D21 project will be to develop a new class of spintronic devices that can be used for a hardware neuromorphic platform and their integration with basic systems. Work is planned on the development of spintronic memristors (resistive memories) [Scientific Reports 12, 7178 (2022)] for applications in image recognitions, development of spintronic microwave nanoscillators [Scientific Reports 9, 19091 (2019)], and the fabrication of oscillator arrays for synchronization and reservoir computing using spin waves [Nature Communications 14, 3954 (2023)].

The candidate is expected to have knowledge of issues related to analog electronics, the basics of nanotechnology, and experience in working with neural networks. Experience in working in high-class cleanrooms or vacuum technologies is desirable. We expect full-time commitment to the project and passion for implementing an ambitious scientific project.

  • experience in vacuum deposition technologies (PLD, Sputtering),
  • experience in working in cleanrooms.

    • Experience in conducting experimental work, transport measurements, vacuum technologies, experience in cleanrooms, etc.,

    Selection process

    The planned selection process is as follows:

    • Formal evaluation of submitted proposals,
    • Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary,
    • Selection of candidates for the interview stage,
    • Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements,
    • The chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates. This information will include justification with a reference to candidates' strengths and weaknesses. Submitted documents will be sent back to candidates.
