Offer Description

The competition is related to research in the area of:

  • Planning the expansion and operation of energy systems
  • Energy-Economy-Environment (3E) integrated modelling
  • Energy system modelling for energy policy

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in technical sciences and have documented scientific achievements, published in journals, related to studying the development perspectives of the national energy system. Utilizing 3E class models (energy-economic-environmental) in research would be an additional advantage. The candidate should possess knowledge in system research and energy economics, along with experience in developing energy scenarios and/or forecasts. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate proficiency in English enabling publication in this language. A willingness for further scientific development and the ability to solve encountered problems are also required

Skills/Qualifications
  • Documented scientific achievements (list of publications) in research area related to the development perspectives of the national energy system;
  • Experience in working with 3E class models (energy-economic-environment) would be an additional asset;

Specific Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in technical sciences, in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy;
  • The candidate should possess knowledge in system research and energy economics, along with experience in developing energy scenarios and/or forecasts;
  • Organizational achievements;
  • Documented active participation in scientific/technical national or international conferences and symposia;
  • Predisposition to scientific work;
  • Proficiency in English at a level of at least B-2.
  • A willingness for further scientific development and the ability to solve encountered problems are also required.
