• Possession of a doctoral degree in the field of technical sciences
• In the discipline of architecture and urban planning;
• Completion of a degree in spatial management will be an added advantage;
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at a university, especially in the field of digital tools in architecture and urban planning;
• Research work documented by authorship or co-authorship of at least three articles from a list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences;
• Having experience in speaking at Polish and/or foreign scientific conferences and in organizing such events;
• Having professional experience in designing and creating architectural and construction drawings;

• Proficiency in the use of programs:
• for creating architectural drawings, type: AutoCAD,
• for creating 3D models, type: SketchUp and 3ds Max,
• for creating BIM models, type: Archicad,
• for creating visualizations, type:3ds Max, Lumion,
• for creating planning studies and analyses, type: Quantum GIS;

• Fluency in the Polish language, both spoken and written;
• Fluency in spoken and written English;.

Description of the expected responsibilities and duties.

 

• Conducting lectures and teaching classes in architectural design in Polish and English.
• Promoting engineering and master's theses in architecture, both in Polish and English;
• Participating in national and international educational or research and development projects, including in cooperation with the environment;
• Conducting scientific research in the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning.
• Self-education and improvement of teaching and scientific workshop.
• Reviewing engineering and master's theses.
• Fulfilling organizational tasks within the Department in which the candidate will be employed.

9.    The Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning was established in 1976 by order No. 11/1976 of the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Technology.

This was the culmination of many years of efforts by Jerzy Samujłła.

The teaching facilities include lecture theatres open to all researchers at the Institute, equipped with multimedia projectors and overhead projectors, a pattern shop with 3D printers, CNC, cutting plotter, photographic darkroom, computer rooms, photographic atelier, sculpture studio, drawing and painting room, as well as classrooms and the Institute's workshops.

For the last 8 years, the Faculty of Architecture has been certified by the Accreditation Committee for Universities of Technology (KAUT) and the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). The Technical University of Łódź is one of four universities in Poland with such a distinction.

At present, the Director of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning is Prof. Dr. hab. inż. arch. Marek Pabich, architect, lecturer, author of didactic and laboratory buildings at the Technical University of Łódź, member of the jury in architectural competitions, author of books, among others, On the Formation of the Museum of Art: On Shaping the Museum of Art. The space more beautiful than the object, Mario Botta. Nobody is born an architect.
