The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:

The post-doc will carry out modelling of massive stars with detailed evolutionary codes. Additionally, they will be active in the mentoring of PhD students. The applicant should have a background in stellar evolution and synthetic binary populations.

The candidate should have a PhD in Physics, Astrophysics or Astronomy. The appointment is offered for 2 years with a possibility of an extension for up to 2 years. Expected starting date: January 2023, but flexible. Speaking Polish is not a requirement. Remuneration amount: approximately 7 500 PLN/month gross (total remuneration cost, including full social security and health insurance: 120 000 PLN per year).

We invite applications for a post-doctoral position in massive stars. The position is funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) in Poland under the OPUS research grant led by Dr. Dorottya Szécsi.
