Offer Description

The applicant should have at least a doctoral degree and have an outstanding scientific output in the medieval studies (especially Byzantine Empire), and also in the sphragistics and primary source study. The applicant should have experience of archival queries in the country and abroad and be able to speak a foreign modern language (English and Russian, Ukrainian or Belarussian preferred). The applicant should present a research project compatible with the research profile of the Department of Source Study and Editing of IH PAS. The applicant should declare his/her agreement to be counted in the number of employees carrying out scientific activity during the period of employment, i.e. in the N number for the requirements of the algorithm for the distribution of base subsidy for statutory activity.

Applicants must provide:

 

• An application for employment addressed to the Director of the Institute*

• CV containing description of scientific achievements  and bibliography

• A copy of the PhD diploma or PhD and Habilitation diploma

• Description of the postdoctoral project, that will be implemented at the IH PAN

• Declaration of the applicant that in case of a successful application, The Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History of  Polish Academy of Sciences will be the main place of work

• The candidate should agree to be counted in the number of employees engaged in research activities during the period of employment, i.e., the number “N” for purposes of the algorithm for distributing base funds for activities required by the Polish law.
