Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration

of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn

announces a competition

for the position of assistant  in the group of research and teaching staff

in the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law

 

The competition may be joined by those who meet the conditions described in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2023 pos.742, as amended).

Skills/Qualifications

- At least a master's degree in law;

- publications in the field of civil law, at least at the level of qualification requirements set out in Appendix 4 (Table 4a) to the Statute of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, constituting an annex to the Resolution No. 494 of the Senate of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn of 21 May 2019 on the Statute of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, and

- publications in the field of civil law - at least 2 articles published in journals, with 70 or more points for each of them, included in the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from International Conferences with the assigned number of points, constituting an attachment to the Communiqué of the Minister of Education and Science of 17 July 2023 (as amended), within the last two years,  from the announcement of this competition;

-active participation in at least 1 international conference or active participation in at least 2 conferences;  

didactic/scientific or training courses in the field of civil law of a nationwide nature;

- predisposition for teaching work with students,

- 1 year of teaching experience in civil law,

- the ability to work in a team,

- teaching experience,

- fluent knowledge of a modern foreign language in speech and writing and fluent knowledge of Polish (applies to foreigners),

- Availability in hours: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Information on meeting the qualification requirements necessary to occupy the position of an assistant in the group of research and teaching staff in the discipline of legal science (Annex 4 to the Statute of UWM in Olsztyn, table 4a).

  • Declaration on the represented scientific field and discipline and a declaration authorizing to be included to the number of employees conducting research activity.
  • Document confirming the knowledge of the Polish language - applies to foreigners.
  • Declaration of submitting a statement that the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will be the primary place of work within the meaning of art. 120 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2023 pos.742, as amended).
  • A statement on the state of health allowing to perform work as an assistant (not applicable to UWM employees).
  • Consent to the processing of personal data - Annex 1 to the Information Security Policy of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, constituting an attachment to Regulation No. 36/2018 of the Rector of UWM in Olsztyn of 28 May 2018 (BIP UWM).

  • Applications for the competition should be submitted to the Office of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, ul. Obitza 1, 10-725 Olsztyn, room no 10,  till 20 of August 2023.
  • The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will be the primary place of work within the meaning of the provision of art. 120 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2023 pos.742, as amended),
  • Gross basic salary: 4242-4400 zł
  • The competition has one-stage character,
  • Not informing the candidate about the results of the competition isequivalent to rejecting his offer,
  • The competition will be settled within two weeks after the deadline for submitting documents
  • The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn reserves the right to cancel the competition by the Rector without giving reasons.
