Calls for Candidates for Assistant

in the Department of Strategic and International Management

Applicants must fulfil the conditions laid down in the Act on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Law from 2021, No.478).

Criteria required from candidates:

  • Master degree in management and quality sciences or related disciplines;
  • Research interests (confirmed by academic publications) focused on organization and management, including especially strategic management, corporate governance, behavious of corporate boards;
  • Knowledge of research methods used in the management and quality sciences;
  • Experience in academic teaching (classes, workshops, lectures) in particular regarding strategic management, international management and psychosocial skills;
  • Experience in organizational work;
  • Experience in conducting research (including projects financed from external sources), ability to apply for research funding from external sources;
  • Fluency in English and Polish.

    • Workplace conditions:

  • Position: assistant (research-teaching staff)
  • Group of employees: research and teaching or teaching
  • Scientific discipline in which the candidate will conduct research: social sciences in the field of management and quality sciences
  • Research responsibilities: conducting scientific research, obtaining funds for scientific research, publishing research results in highly rated scientific journals and monographs, improving the research skills
  • Teaching responsibilities: conducting classes in Polish and English, conducting classes abroad, improving the skills of an academic teacher
  • Organizational responsibilities: participation in organizational activities of the academic unit; organization of conferences, seminars, workshops.

    • Letter of motivation submitted to the Recruitment Committee;
    • Scientific vita;
    • Scientific curriculum vitae proving the fulfillment of the above-mentioned conditions;

    • Copy of Master degree document;
    • List of publications;
    • A statement that the University of Warsaw will be the primary place of work (downloadable from the University website);

    This call is the first stage of the employment procedure to select an academic employee at University of Warsaw, and positive selection allows for further proceeding the following stages of employment procedure.
