Director of the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology 

of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Jastrzębiec 

opens call for the position of Assistant 

in the Department of Experimental Embryology

 

Based on the (Legal basis: Section 91(5) of the Act on the Polish Academy of Sciences of 30 April 2010 (Dz.U. (Journal of Laws) No.96, item 619) and Act on the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Dz.U. (Journal of Laws), item 1668, the Statute of the IGiHZ PAN, and the Regulations of Competition Procedure in Employment for Scientific Position in the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences of 2 March 2020.

The Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences has the HR Excellence in Research logo awarded by the European Commission to institutions which implement rules of the "European Charter for Researchers" and the "Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers".

 

The Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IGAB PAS) in Jastrzębiec n/Warsaw is seeking scientists with expertise and hands-on experience in experimental embryology of mammals.

 

As an Assistant Researcher in the IGAB PAS, you will: 

Contribute to ongoing research tasks on mammalian embryology; 

Perform laboratory analyses;

Prepare scientific publications; 

Present your research at scientific meetings

Skills/Qualifications

Master's degree in animal, life or health sciences, biotechnology or related field

A minimum of 3 months of proven professional experience.

Proficiency in written and spoken English

Reliability and punctuality

Strong teamwork skills.

Scientific achievements, e.g. in the form of conferences or original scientific articles will be an additional asset.

 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

Organisational skills and independence;

Experience in laboratory work, particularly in the field of mammalian embryology;

Documented theoretical and practical training in animal experiments (compliant with the requirements of Polish law and Article 23 of the European Directive 2010/63/EU)

Personal data provided by the participant of the recruitment process will be processed on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 letter a) of GDPR, i.e. on the basis of their consent and pursuant to art. 221 of the act of 26 June 1974 Labour Code (Journal of Laws 2018.917).

The following personal data are processed during the recruitment process: first name(s) and surname, image, names of parents, date of birth, place of residence (correspondence address), education, other personal details of the employee, including names and surnames and dates of birth of the employee's children if such data is necessary for the employee's use of special rights provided for in the labour law, the employee's PESEL number assigned by the Government Information Center of the Universal Electronic System for Registration of the Population (RCI PESEL), telephone number and e-mail address.

The person involved in the recruitment process has the right to request access to personal data, correct or remove it, as well as limit its processing, oppose to data processing, the right to transfer data and the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory body.

The person participating in the recruitment process has the right to withdraw consent to the processing of data at any time, which does not affect the legality of the processing which had been carried out on the basis of consent granted before its withdrawal.

Providing personal data by a person participating in the recruitment process is voluntary, however, the failure to provide it may prevent this process from being carried out.
