The competition may be entered by candidates who fulfil conditions specified in Article 113 of the

Parliament Act of July 20, 2018 – Higher Education and Science Law (Journal of Laws 2018, Section 1668 as amended) and in Statute of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin.

Characteristics of the position:

Conducting scientific activity in the field of agricultural sciences, in the discipline of animal science and fisheries, with regard on research and teaching at the Department of Animal Anatomy and Zoology, as well as educating students and candidate for a doctor’s degree.

We afford possibilities for the candidate a professional development, participation in science projects, cooperation with other research institution and economic entities, and care for the apiary.

Eligibility requirements:

At the very least, a master's degree, master's degree in engineering or equivalent - in the fields of Agricultural sciences, in the disciplines of Animal husbandry or Animal science and fisheries, Agriculture and horticulture, forestry or in the fields Natural sciences in the discipline biological sciences (requirements specified in Article 116 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and in art. 36 p. 2 of the Statute of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin)

  • a copy of the graduation diploma also doctor’s degree
  • other documents confirming the qualifications held
  • list of publications with complete bibliographic data and ORCID number
  • other achievements (trainings and courses domestic and foreign, laboratory work experience) to motivate coming up proposals the application for employment
  • achievements and experiences in teaching in apiarian, biology, zoology and ecology, will be of course welcomed
  • fluent knowledge of Polish and English (at least B2 level)
  • a declaration that the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin will be the principal place of employment (download form)
  • consent to the processing of personal data for the needs of the recruitment process (in accordance with the Act of May 10, 2018 on the protection of personal data and Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016)
  • Provide references and work history highlighting your competence’s ability to deliver training and support to higher-education institutions
  • and readiness to submit, within 14 days from the date of employment:

    1. authorization to be included in the number of employees conducting scientific activity

    2. statements about the field of science and scientific discipline

    Competition settlement date: until 26 April, 2021

    Form of employment: employment contract

    The submitted documents may be collected within 30 days from the date of the contest settlement. After this date, the unclaimed documents will be destroyed by a commission.

    The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin reserves the right to close the competition without selecting a candidate.

    The selection board may, in justified cases, decide to conduct an additional interview with selected candidates.

    The selection board is not the body deciding about the employment of a candidate recommended by it. The body making the employment decision is the Rector.

    The results of the competition will be available on the BIP ZUT website within 30 days after its completion (Article 119 (3) of the Law on Higher Education and Science).
