Skills/Qualifications

Knowledge and own professional experience in the field of:

  • laboratory analyses and assessment of physicochemical properties of solid fuels and waste in terms of their energy use,
  • performing tests on a waste incineration installation on a laboratory, pilot or industrial scale,
  • performing simulations of thermal processes with the use of the following programs: ANSYS FLUENT, CHEMCAD, Aspen Plus, HSC Chemistry,
  • performing mass and energy balances, environmental assessment and economic analysis of installations of the thermal waste utilization,

    • Ability:

    a)   preparation of reports on the implementation of commercial projects and R&D projects,

    b)   publication of research results in the form of articles in Polish and English,

    c)   presentation of research results in the form of lectures and posters at national and international conferences,


    Specific Requirements

    PhD degree in technical sciences in the discipline of of environmental engineering, minning and energy.

    Scientific achievements expressed by:

  • authorship or co-authorship of at least ten publications in journals included in the Scopus database,
  • participation in at least one publicly funded project,
  • presentation of research results during at least two national conferences and two international conferences,
  • participation in at least one foreign scientific internship,
  • participation in at least one internship implemented at an installation of the thermal treatment of waste,
    • knowledge of the English language,
    • in the case of foreigners, fluent knowledge of the Polish language in speech and writing,
    • experience in teamwork;
    • impeccable reputation;
    • the right to enjoy full civil rights;

    The date of the filing shall be the date of delivery of documents to Institute of Energy and Fuel Processing Technology.

    Documents must be submitted at the Registry of ITPE in Zabrze,  Zamkowa 1, room 9 (from 7 am to 2 pm).

    The candidate will be selected in accordance with the internal competition procedure ITPE.
