Offer Description

The position covers two main areas: teaching and research. The candidate selected in the competition will be primarily responsible for preparing and conducting teaching classes in the field of marine and atmospheric chemistry, hydrochemistry, and environmental monitoring in Polish and English. The candidate will also plan, conduct research and publish the results of research in the field of marine environment chemistry, the circulation of biogenic elements (atmosphere, sea surface microlayer, water column, suspended matter), causes and
consequences of marine environment pollution. The candidate will be responsible for the care of chromatographs.

Skills/Qualifications
  • PhD in natural sciences and the discipline of Earth and related environmental or in the discipline of chemistry, in the field of research related to environmental chemistry, sea and atmospheric chemistry;
  • since graduating, at least 5 years of experience working in a research unit
    in the development, implementation and validation of analytical methods, especially
    in chromatographic methods, and experience in the determination of trace organic pollutants in environmental samples and the interpretation of the obtained results;
  • experience in preparing and conducting teaching classes at a university, including
    laboratory exercises, lectures and classes in English, enabling classes in the field
    of land/marine environment, hydrochemistry and broadly understood applications
    of instrumental methods in environmental analysis;
  • knowledge of methods for collecting environmental samples of water and air in the coastal zone in order to determine organic pollutants at trace levels;
  • documented publication achievements in:
    •  international scientific journals from the Journal Citation Reports database,
    • popular science magazines,
    • authorship or co-authorship of textbooks or scientific monographs;

    6. experience in managing and/or implementing scientific projects;

    7.ability to present the results of scientific work, confirmed by speeches/poster presentations at national and international conferences;

    8. skills in organizing work in interdisciplinary teams;
