About the position

The Department of Psychology (NTNU) has a vacancy for a 16 months researcher position in psychology in the research projects ENTRANCES, PROTEIN2.0 and DRIVERS.
This position is partly funded by the European Commission through the EU’s Horizon 2020 program and partly through the Research Council of Norway and is available from 1st November 2021. ENTRANCES advocates “Clean Energy Transition” and will develop a set of recommendations for selected Coal mining and Carbon-intensive regions in Europe. The project intends to address challenges faced by these regions taking into account multi-dimensional perspectives involving different key players at territorial, regional, national, European, and global levels. The Norwegian case in the project is the transition process from oil and gas in the Stavanger region. PROTEIN2.0 is a project studying the impact of new developments in synthetic protein production (e.g., meat or milk from a bioreactor) on Norwegian society.

The research at the department of psychology focuses on consumer perceptions. DRIVERS is a project studying perceptions of autonomous vehicles (passenger cars, busses, trucks) and the impact automatization of driving has on driving behavior.
The researcher will work in the part of the projects coordinated by NTNU’s Christian Klöckner. In ENTRANCES, the main tasks will be conducting empirical work (interviews, focus groups, surveys, document analysis) in the Stavanger region and contribution to project publications. In the PROTEIN2.0 project, the main work will be analysis of already collected data from a large survey and a choice experiment, as well as preparing publications. In DRIVERS, the main tasks are preparing and analyzing a population survey, as well as planning, conducting, and analyzing an eye-tracking study on attention while driving with drivers in a simulator and/or on a driving range.

You will report to Head of department.
