The Institute of Health and Society has two permanent vacant positions (alternatively 1 full time and 2 x 50% positions) as Professor/Associate Professor in the subject area of Epidemiology in Public Health.

The Institute of Health and Society (HELSAM) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, bases its work on a complex understanding of the interconnectedness of sickness, health and health systems. Research, teaching and service at the Institute focuses on the complex interaction of policy, culture, environment, society, and biology. From autumn of 2023 HELSAM will launch a new master programme in public health science and epidemiology. The teaching assignments for the two positions will be in the new program and its two tracks, public health and epidemiology. The positions will be allocated to the Department of Public Health Science. The person appointed is also expected to participate in adjudication committees for PhD theses, assessment committees regarding appointments and competence promotions, and to take the role as acting dean in disputations.
