About the position

NHH in Bergen, Norway, invites applications to a full-time assistant professor position at the Department of Strategy and Management . The position is linked to the research center Digital Innovation for sustainable Growth (DIG) and ongoing research on the theme of complex partnerships and ecosystems. The candidate’s research will take place in light of this theme, and the position has a duration of four years.

You will be part of a strong and supportive team of researchers dedicated to producing research with an international outreach in high-ranked publication outlets. Regardless of whether you excel in conducting qualitative or quantitative research or pursue more process-intensive and/or advanced machine learning techniques, being part of this research team will provide you access to leading Scandinavian private and public organisations, national register databases, and the recently acquired AI server.

Employment requires a Ph.D. in business administration or adjacent fields. We encourage candidates with a background in strategy, organisation, entrepreneurship and innovation to apply. Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree from a well-recognised Ph.D. program and can document a strong publication pipeline. Experience in teaching is a strength, but not a requirement, as NHH offers pedagogical training to prepare faculty for an all-round career in academia. The appointee must take one basic module of the programme for university pedagogy in the course of the fixed-term period.  

The preferred candidates have a strong affinity with the topics of strategic alliances, partnerships, business models and digital ecosystems, and also feel comfortable working with the partner companies of DIG.

The salary will be negotiable within the Norwegian State Salary Scale for assistant professors.
