About the role

We are looking for a Web Development Educator to apply their professional and educational skills to help grow the web developers of the future. You’ll be part of a diverse team teaching ākonga from pre-degree to Masters level.

We’re looking for someone who has 2 to 5 years’ industry experience, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and good industry contacts who can help lead our web development teaching team. You’ll also need to know the following:

  • Front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks (e.g. Vue/React), MVC (Laravel)/PHP
  • Back-end development – SQL / APIs
  • Website Design, prototyping and graphics development
  • Understanding of UX and UI design principles
  • Knowledge of CMS tools, including: WordPress, SilverStripe or Shopify
  • Understanding of web hosting, AWS (Azure/GCP) and LAMP stacks
  • Comfortable with version control, such as GIT
  • Agile Methodology experience 
  • Digital analytics tracking using Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics
