What we're looking for:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced water quality technician for a permanent position in our Hamilton office. The position will provide technical support for freshwater and coastal waters research and consulting projects. Activities will include the measurement of water quality parameters of stream, lake, and coastal waters to gauge the impacts of wastewater discharges or diffuse pollution on water quality. These activities will be followed by the development and implementation of improved treatment technologies, mitigation options and management practices for wastewater and effluent treatment.

What you will bring:

  • You will need to have qualifications in an environmental science or a related field and several years' relevant experience working in an environmental or science role.
  • Previous field experience would be an advantage and you must be confident using a range of water flow and water quality instrumentation.
  • You will need to be able to work flexible hours and occasionally undertake fieldwork lasting several days away from Hamilton.
