The Role

This role drives the curation and delivery of engaging communications to AUT's student community through the production of promotional and informational videos as well as capturing important moments and events. This will include the shooting, directing of action, editing and delivery of video for multiple channels.

What kind of person are we looking for

A creative self-starter who can apply their creative ideas to engaging multimedia content. An individual who can tap into human needs and emotions through the content they create - with demonstrated experience managing video projects from start to finish.

A team player who works effectively as part of a diverse team and is willing to work through complex problems and opportunities to create clear and engaging messaging for students.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience with video cameras, video editing, production planning in a related videography role
  • Proven commercial/professional videography services experience
  • Strong knowledge of media production techniques from creation to publishing
  • Experience in preproduction, setting up shoots, location scouting, and scoping talent
  • Scriptwriting and storyboarding to help shape the content
  • Experience with filming on location and in a studio environment
  • Experience with Adobe software packages, specifically but not limited to Adobe Premiere and After Effects

Salary Range: $70,000 - $96,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
