Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint an ongoing, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Technician in Molecular Biosciences, based on the Auckland Campus at Albany

If you are an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person who enjoys providing technical support to undergraduate laboratory classes, then join our team as part of the curriculum for the Molecular Cell Biology major within the Bachelor of Science degree.  You will also provide support to the school’s postgraduate and research programmes.  You will work closely with the academic teaching team and fellow technicians to ensure the facilities, equipment and materials are ready to support the teaching and research programmes, including mixed-mode delivery.

The School of Natural Sciences is a multi- and inter-disciplinary research and teaching school and encompasses the discipline areas of biochemistry; chemistry; ecology, conservation and marine biology; microbiology; evolution; genetics and genomics;molecular and cellular biology; plant science; physics; and zoology. It has staff physically located on both the Auckland and Manawatū campuses and provides teaching, learning, and advising to more than 870 equivalent full-time students (EFTS) studying on campus or by distance.
