Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint a fixed-term, part-time (0.5 FTE) Technician in Chemistry, based on the Auckland Campus at Albany.

The position is through to 29 August 2025.  We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to provide technical support to undergraduate chemistry laboratory classes as well as postgraduate and research support within the school. You will work closely with the academic teaching team and fellow technicians to ensure the facilities, equipment and materials are ready to support the teaching and research programmes, including mixed-mode delivery.

The School of Natural Sciences is a multi- and inter-disciplinary research and teaching school and encompasses the discipline areas of biochemistry; chemistry; ecology, conservation and marine biology; microbiology; molecular and cellular biology; plant science; physics; and zoology. It has staff physically located on both the Auckland and Manawatū campuses and provides teaching, learning, and advising to more than 870 equivalent full-time students (EFTS) studying on campus or by distance.
