Technician (Clinical Sciences - South Campus)

Hourly-paid position - South Campus

The School of Clinical Sciences is looking for two hourly-paid technicians to contribute to the effective technical and administrative support to the School staff. These positions are based on AUT South Campus and will support our Midwifery, Nursing, Paramedicine and Perioperative Practice Departments.

As a Technician, you will:

• provide a wide range of technical services in support of the School of Clinical Sciences.
• contribute to the function of a high-performing team

To succeed in this role, you need to demonstrate:

• Able to pick up early (6 am start), late (1 pm start) and/or weekend shifts
• Be physically fit to be able to lift heavy equipment
• Good at following instructions and reliable
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in problem-solving and negotiating with all stakeholders
• Capacity to assess priorities and manage a range of tasks and complex issues simultaneously
• Be emotionally resilient, quick on the uptake, and calm under pressure
• Medical knowledge and experience are desirable but not a must

This position presents an opportunity to join a friendly team working in an educational healthcare setting at AUT's South Campus in Manukau.

Salary range: $26.45 to $31.29 per hour based on experience and availability
