Technician (Clinical Sciences - South Campus)

Permanent position - South Campus

The School of Clinical Sciences is looking for a technician to contribute to the effective technical and administrative support to the School staff.  This position is based on AUT South Campus and will support our Midwifery, Nursing, Perioperative Practice, Counselling and Paramedicine Departments.

As a Technician you will:

• provide a wide range of technical services in support of the School of Clinical Sciences.
• contribute to the function of a high performing team

To succeed in this role, you need to demonstrate:

• Knowledge and/or experience in a clinical health field
• Some financial background will be desirable but not a must
• Tertiary qualification and/or extensive work experience in a health-related industry
• Be emotionally resilient, quick on the uptake, and calm under pressure
• Be comfortable working with complex and changeable information
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in problem solving and negotiating with all stakeholders
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
• A high level of organisational and advanced administrative skills
• Capacity to assess priorities and manage a range of tasks and complex issues simultaneously
• Excellent Microsoft skills

This position presents an opportunity to join a friendly team working in an educational healthcare setting at AUT's South campus in Manukau.

Salary range: $54,000 - $72,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
