Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice, Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a part time (0.4 FTE) Teaching Fellow on a 10-month fixed term contract. The role will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of course HLTH514 Advanced Assessment and Clinical Reasoning for Trimesters 1 and 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and key contact for HLTH 514, Advanced Assessment and Clinical Reasoning
  • Delivery of developed HLTH514 course content and marking of student work in conjunction with dedicated support team
  • Availability for specified student consultation in relation to course material
  • Meeting with tutor/s to discuss course and student management
  • Undertake management of spreadsheet data entry for student absences, illnesses, and extensions, including liaising with students about such episodes
  • Understand data collation and entry to spreadsheet and Canvas for student tests, assignments and grades, and be involved with calculation of course grades and delivery of final grades paperwork
  • Such other related duties may be required by your School Director from time to time

It is expected that successful applicants will meet the below selection criteria:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate and recent clinical practice experience
  • Completed (or working towards) a master’s degree in a relevant area
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.
