The Department of Economics is a research-intensive department with healthy Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD programmes. The Department values both excellent teaching, research, and provides the resources and opportunities for lecturers to achieve both, including teaching loads that allow significant time for research.

The role/Te mahi

Applications are invited for a full-time permanent Teaching Fellow/Senior Teaching Fellow position. We seek applicants with expertise in any field of Economics. 
 
The successful applicant will participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching offered by the Department. 

Skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

•    A post-graduate degree (Honours, Masters or PhD) in Economics or related discipline, with ability or experience in teaching Business Statistics.
•    Have proven ability to teach at tertiary level, including the ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds and at all levels.
•    Be highly organised and motivated.

To be considered for appointment to a Senior Teaching Fellow position, you must:
•    Hold a Masters or PhD in Economics or related discipline, with experience in teaching Business Statistics.
•    Have extensive teaching experience at tertiary level.

Candidates who have not yet fully developed these skills and experience should be able to provide evidence of their potential to do so if they were appointed to the position.

This is a full-time (1FTE) permanent position.

The salary range for a Teaching Fellow is $70,692 to $96,058 per annum and the salary range for Senior Teaching Fellow is $98,640 to $128,305 per annum.
