Who we are/Ko wai mātou

Established in 1964, the Department of Psychological Medicine is focussed on six primary research areas, as well as being actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching to medical students, psychiatric and general practice registrars, postgraduate students and various higher education postgraduate training programmes. 

The role/Te mahi

We are looking for a Teaching Fellow to contribute to the teaching of PSME201 Human Sexuality and Health. This interesting paper provides a foundational introduction to human sexuality and its biological, psychological and social underpinnings, with a focus on health and wellbeing. 

A candidate with a background in sexual health and sexuality from the disciplines of psychology or public health would be ideally suited to this role.

Key tasks:
•    Teach a weekly tutorial (Wednesday 1-2pm)
•    Contribute to the management of distance student teaching.
•    Assignment and exam marking. 

Skills and Experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

The successful applicant will have:
•    A relevant postgraduate degree.
•    Excellent communication skills.
•    Teaching experience (preferred).

This is a part-time (0.15FTE) fixed-term position during Semester 1 (February to May 2024).
