Position Overview

Massey Equine Veterinary Clinic (EVC) has TWO permanent positions available.

A weekend Stablehand. The position will be for 4.5 hours on Saturdays and 4.5 hours on Sundays split in morning and afternoon shifts across weekends and holiday periods.

A weekday Stablehand. The position will be for 5 hours each morning, Monday to Friday,

Both roles are focused on care, feeding and cleaning of hospitalised patient stalls, yards and hospital areas. Check out our facilities here .

You will also be involved in holding animals while they are medicated and assisting staff with the routine care of hospitalised patients. If you have the ability and willingness to work within a busy and passionate team, then this role is for you! To be successful, you will need to have excellent communication and animal handling skills. The ability to work safely around horses and ponies of all temperaments is crucial; previous experience in cleaning stables is preferred but not essential.

We also have casual positions available during the week and weekends (day and night). If you are interested in joining our casual team please indicate your availability in your application.
