The Marketing Services team plays a key role in attracting students and helping raise the profile of the University throughout New Zealand and our target international markets.
 
The role/Te mahi
 
As a Marketing Specialist, you will develop and manage the production and delivery of domestic marketing programmes, campaigns, and activities. You will work closely with Marketing Advisers embedded in portfolios, and provide expert advice to stakeholders on audience analysis, marketing campaign strategy and objectives. You will also lead the execution and coordination of campaigns in conjunction with the wider marketing team, media partners or external agencies, and assess and report on post-campaign outcomes.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

We are looking for a qualified, organised, and customer focused marketing professional who has a passion for the University of Otago and its vision.
 
You will also need to have:
•    Relevant 5+ years of experience in delivering marketing campaigns and projects for complex organisations with multiple stakeholders (education sector an advantage).
•    Strong client service/stakeholder management experience and relationship building track record.
•    Experience in modern marketing techniques and integrated campaign delivery including digital and social.
•    Strong project management skills.
•    The ability to multi-task.
•    Strong communication and writing skills.
•    Expertise in consumer research, data analysis, CRM systems an advantage.
•    Knowledge of markets, marketing relationships, and networks specific to Māori and/or Pasifika audiences an advantage.
•    The ability to be a true team player and enjoy working collaboratively.
•    An optimistic energy.

This is a full time, permanent position.
