Te mahi/The role

This is a unique chance to join our Cyber Security team and help shape our security landscape. 

It's rare to experience a full cyber security program lifecycle, so this role is perfect for fast-tracking your career toward becoming a cyber security leader.

As the Application Security Specialist, you'll develop and manage our application security program and recommend secure application architectures. You'll also be the go-to expert for the development and implementation of security certification and accreditation processes for applications, systems, and databases.

Kā pūkeka me kā wheako/Skills and experience

Ideally, you're an experienced cyber security professional who's worked in a similar, complex environment.

Key skills and experiences we're looking for include:
•    Programming skills in various languages and scripting.
•    Membership in relevant trust groups/agencies (e.g., FIRST, REN-ISAX, AusCERT, NZITF, CERT, NZ).
•    Industry qualifications like CISSP or CEH.
•    Knowledge of frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or COBIT.
•    Experience with various operating systems, infrastructure applications, and their network interactions.

Pūroko/Further details

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours) position, located in Dunedin. 

The appointment range for this position is $75,380 to $94,075 per annum, however remuneration is negotiable for the right candidate.

We offer five weeks’ annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
