Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The role of the Teaching Assistant Coordinator is to assist with the teaching of an assigned course within the Department and to provide guidance to other Teaching Assistants working on the course. This will involve the supervision of Lab Demonstrators, providing assistance within the laboratory, and also to students.

Mōu | Who You Are
A successful candidate will have a Master's Degree or is studying toward a PhD, and the following:

  • Demonstrated academic ability Proficient in English (written and oral)
  • Previous lab demonstration experience in a university environment will be an advantage
  • Sufficient knowledge in computational mechanics to support the third year BE Hons course Computational and Applied Mechanical Analysis' with minimum supervision.
  • Be capable of independently generating master solutions, quizzes, test and exam questions unsupervised.

This roles salary is step 04 of the Academic Support Staff Salary Scale, this step is paid at $33.28
