This is a unique opportunity to come into a clean skate and build the risk management function from scratch here at AUT.

About the role

You will partner with the business to provide internal consulting to assist in analysis of risk, process for coordinating responses to risk and escalations. You will create and be responsible for a framework for operational risk and oversee that risk framework.  You will form a risk assessment committee, lead and share messages through the committee. Supporting culture change will be woven throughout your activities.

Skills and Experience

You will be used to operating as a trusted advisor in a risk environment. You will also bring with you:

  • Experience in large complex organisations managing varying risks
  • A strong understanding of risk management methodology and the application of risk management techniques
  • The ability to share information in a way that is easily understood
  • The ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Salary Range: $130k - $150k  (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
