Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (circa 6- 10 years PM exp) who has a proven ability to manage complex application / business change projects within Information Technology Services. Your experience will include implementing enterprise-wide systems.

Based in Palmerston North this position sits in our Strategic Project Management Office and reports into the Portfolio Manager. You will play a key role in a select number of projects and will be responsible for building, and the day-to-day leadership of a small project team.

We’d like this person to also contribute to the further development of the SPMO as the center of excellence for project management in the University.

About you, you’ll bring:
• Experience in implementing applications across enterprise-wide systems
• Experience running RFI/RFP processes
• Some experience leading and mentoring project managers, coordinating resource planning over multiple projects
• An ability to communicate and build relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Strong negotiating skills
• An ability to skillfully transverse between meeting business requirements and managing capacity
