We are a socially driven university with equity and excellence central to our purpose and actions. AUT has over 29,000 students and around 4,000 staff across our three Auckland teaching campuses.

In the Business School, we develop graduates with the knowledge, skills, and values orientation to make a positive impact in the complex world of business and work, act as responsible global citizens, and navigate 21st-century careers. Our research into relevant and cross-cutting issues underpins our business curriculum and contributes to local and international knowledge and solutions for business and social wellbeing.

About the role

The Senior Programme Administrator is an essential point of contact for staff and students in the Business School's undergraduate programmes, ensuring enrolments, course advice, student case management, assessment, results, and completion requirements are coordinated and processed accurately. The role takes a lead in complex administration tasks, including guidance and training for programme administrators and coordination of team workflows, whilst working collaboratively with other team members within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and across AUT.

You will need a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in tertiary education administration, along with a passion for enhancing the customer experience, so that students can be supported well through their study journey. You will have excellent initiative, a strong attention to detail and be adept at learning the intricacies of programme requirements and processes to ensure that our staff and students are given accurate guidance and advice in line with processes and regulations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to coordinate workload and tasks to meet deadlines.

Most importantly you will be a team player who can balance your own workload requirements alongside team goals and be responsive to new ideas and change. In return, you will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team with a strong reputation for providing staff and students with an outstanding level of service and support.
