Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting Senior Marketing Adviser, International. The Senior Marketing Adviser, International will report into the Marketing Group, and on a day-to-day basis work between the Marketing and International teams.

The role is responsible for supporting the Marketing and International teams in marketing activities that support the recruitment of international students to the University. The role will also support University initiatives from an international perspective, including work with faculties, content to support marketing automation campaigns, photoshoots, and video projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Development and delivery of integrated marketing plans, which support the recruitment of students in international markets.
  • Work with external suppliers including printers, photographers, and videographers to create, manage and evaluate campaigns and activity.
  • Support the work of the wider Marketing Group by participating in wider University initiatives and priorities such as marketing activity to support CSUs, Faculties and Schools, as needed.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships within the University community including International teams, communications and engagement teams, plus faculties and central service units.
  • Manage the development and work plans of the international communications and marketing coordinator.

You will be a skilled digital marketing professional who is passionate about putting our audiences at the centre of everything you do. You will have a good knowledge and understanding of campaigns, AdWords, SEO, marketing automation, and social media, and experience in producing high-quality written communications.

As a motivated self-starter, you will be able to take the initiative and provide excellent marketing advice to a diverse group of university colleagues, while ensuring the University’s brand and vision are portrayed appropriately. You will have a good understanding of the international education context and drivers. You will be a person of integrity who communicates well, builds positive relationships, and sees opportunities to innovate. You plan and organise your work effectively.
