Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available to be part of Massey’s Financial Planning & Analysis Team as our Senior Management Accountant.  Further develop your career in an environment of continuous improvement, this position can be based on either our Manawatū or Wellington campus, with a preference for Manawatū.  

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Management Accountant will provide back up to the Manager and contribute to Operating and Capital related activities such as budgeting, forecasting, reporting and annual planning processes. This will include items such as the Capital Asset Management (CAM) review process and compiling the Ten-Year Capital Plan. Providing high-quality financial analysis and reviewing of potential new ventures and/or business cases will also be key to this role.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

•    Five years’ experience working at a senior level in financial and management accounting in a reputable (preferably a tertiary education) organisation
•    Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
•    Proven relationship building capability
•    Demonstrable experience of working with large numbers of stakeholders.
•    Demonstrable experience of working with large sets of complex data.
•    Experience of writing financial reports for senior management and board of governors.
