Senior Management Accountant

With three academic faculties, one teaching division, several research centres and a range of corporate service units, the University draws its students from throughout New Zealand and from over 60 countries. Lincoln University has a student roll of around 3,000 and approximately 600 staff. 

The Financial Services team enable strategy implementation, by providing responsive and quality financial products and services to business and governance functions across the university.  In addition to supporting Financial Planning and Analysis, the team is responsible for Corporate Accounting and Treasury functions, Finance Business Support and Advisory services and Procure to Pay.

We are now looking for a qualified Senior Management Accountant, to join our team. 

To be successful in this role you

  • Must be CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 5 years commercial experience
  • Current or previous Tertiary sector experience will be highly regarded
  • Possess advanced Excel & ERP experience.
  • Be a competent user and quick learner of systems
  • Strong experience in accounting processes, reporting and analysing financial information, providing accurate advice and delivering financial services
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and deliver results in line with required deadlines and quality parameters
  • Demonstrate highly developed communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to inform and negotiate successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Have proven team leadership and mentoring experience
  • Passionate about good customer service, continuous improvement and working collaboratively
  • Be a dedicated team player that shows initiative
  • Are highly self-motivated and outcome-driven
  • Have a good sense of humour
