The Department of Nursing is seeking to make a full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent appointment at the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level. We are seeking individuals with expertise in quantitative research and bioscience in the Aotearoa context. The successful candidate will have the expertise to enhance our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, as appropriate. We are committed to the integration of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural competencies into the delivery of our curricula.
The applicant will work alongside students including Māori and Pacific students, so a high level of cultural sensitivity is desired, along with knowledge of kawa and tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge).
The successful applicant will actively engage in facilitating the delivery of education at both undergraduate and postgraduate level including the supervision of higher degree students. In addition, they will be expected to:
- support course leaders to embed content related to bioscience into pre-registration and postgraduate nursing programmes and courses
- work to support the success and progression of Māori students
- undertake research
- applicants will be expected to develop a research and publication portfolio and will embrace the vision and values of the School, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.

- Contribute to ongoing curriculum development

The start date is to be negotiated.
This role is considered a children's worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children's Act 2014 .
Salary Range:
Lecturer (Career Path): $82,000 - $99,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
Senior Lecturer (Career Path): $101,000 - $134,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
