Play a key role in AUT's daily cybersecurity, operations and project delivery tasks as we undertake a number of high impact projects!

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to join our integrated ICT department. You will be proactively helping to manage AUT's ICT cybersecurity activities, systems and service to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover from cybersecurity events. The skills, experience and relationships you will build will have significant and widespread impacts on the ICT systems and services within AUT and on users' perceptions of the delivery of services from ICT Operations.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Experienced cybersecurity consultant with a background in Linux system administration and specialised cyber security applications. In addition to 7 or more years' experience within ICT
  • Sound knowledge and experience of best practice standards, cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, network security architecture concepts, intrusion detection and prevention system and tools
  • Experience in FortiGate administration and configuration is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and customers to achieve understanding and action
