Role Overview:

As a Senior Business Analyst within the ICT Services team, you'll be at the forefront of change, driving the development of our Business Analysis Practice while ensuring alignment with AUT's standards and industry best practices. Your role will encompass leading analytical efforts in complex projects and programs, championing user requirements, and guiding teams to implement business analysis methodologies for optimum outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigate and comprehensively document workflows, systems, and practices in target areas.
  • Lead business process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiencies.
  • Develop business cases, assess feasibility, and recommend innovative approaches aligned with AUT's values and goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, ensuring stakeholder needs are met.
  • Manage and coordinate process improvement projects, ensuring adherence to project management principles.
  • Be the go-to expert on business analysis best practices, promoting their adoption among internal teams.
  • Foster relationships with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing expert advice.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, supporting team goals and objectives.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Analyse existing processes and systems, identifying gaps and proposing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Play a crucial role in user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate smooth knowledge transfer to end-users.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred.
  • Extensive experience (ideally 7+ years) as a Business Analyst, including leading projects in complex environments.
  • Profound knowledge of business analysis methodologies, best practices, and tools.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, change management, and project coordination.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, client relationship building, and consultation.
