Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Senior Applications Software Developer to join our newly formed Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team. The role will be responsible for contributing to and delivering business solutions for our internal customers and external stakeholders, using and promoting Agile, Design Thinking and User Experience approaches.

Key Responsibiltiies

  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot and provide high quality solutions in multi-platform IT environments within an Agile project framework.
  • Provide technical support to the new Dynamics CRM platform.
  • Articulate and deliver solutions across the wider Microsoft 365 and Azure product suite and remain current with latest changes.
  • Communicate and liaise with technical team (testers, database administrators, support staff), other groups within Digital Solutions, other staff members and vendors.
  • Undertake unit and peer testing including the creation of testing scripts and/or facilities.

We are seeking innovative, flexible, customer focused individuals with a wide range of technical experience including a solid set of Microsoft 365 / CRM skills. You will have a passion for improving the student experience by developing solutions in the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. You will bring your experience and enthusiasm to this newly formed team who will thrive in an Agile development environment.

Key skills:

  • Proven experience in complex software application development, implementation and support in medium to large, Agile IT environment.
  • Proven industry experience as a Dynamics CRM/365 Technical Consultant/Developer.
  • Azure DevOps knowledge for deployment to Dynamics 365 environments, Azure and cloud-based Microsoft Azure Integration services.
  • Understanding of supporting technologies - .NET development, SQL Server system integration technologies and techniques, SOA, design patterns.
  • Must be able to communicate difficult technical concepts to business, technical and strategic audiences.
  • Ability to build highly effective relationships with customers and team colleagues.
