About the role

The Senior Advisor, Research Management plays a key role in driving the development and growth of research at Massey University by providing strategic support and direction.  This position sits within a broader established and talented team maintaining the systems, processes, and knowledge that support research activities across the University.  You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the university and beyond in a role uniquely positioned to understand research management and inform decision-making.  

Ideally located with our team on our beautiful Manawatū Campus, Palmerston North, this is a permanent role of 37.5 hours per week. Working from our Wellington or Auckland campuses, or part-time, may be negotiated for the right candidate.

About you

  • You will have a tertiary qualification (degree level) in a relevant discipline - Knowledge of the tertiary education and research funding landscape will serve you well in this role. 
  • You will thrive in an environment that allows autonomy but works collaboratively to enable and drive the University’s research aspirations.
  • You will be organised and demonstrate high levels of initiative and be an effective writer and presenter who can collate, analyse and present quality information and advice in forms as diverse as briefing papers, work plans and standard operating procedures.
  • You are all about building positive, productive working relationship with stakeholders and possess highly developed synthesis and communication skills.
