The role/Te mahi

We are looking for an experienced and capable professional to provide high quality support to the Director Human Resources. As Senior Adviser HR Strategy and Projects you will oversee projects, provide quality research and analysis of HR data, develop strategies and plans, and provide other specialist advice.

This role involves engaging across all parts of the University, in particular with the Human Resources Division, Strategy, Analytics and Reporting Office and with external stakeholders to manage, coordinate or advise on particular projects (including ad hoc), programmes or committees at the request of the Director.

You will have the support of a comprehensive HR infrastructure, and colleagues both within the HR Divisional Office team and across the wider Human Resources Division.

You will also have:
•    A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
•    Considerable experience in strategic and operational planning.
•    High level research and analytical skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage projects and work with competing demands.
•    Demonstrated capability to analyse risk, take the initiative and work autonomously to prepare solutions for consideration.

This is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours a week) position located in Dunedin.

We offer competitive salary, 5 weeks’ annual leave (pro rata), a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and excellent professional development opportunities.

The appointment range for this position is $94,974 to $103,058 per annum.
