Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly organised Senior Administrator who can provide dedicated, efficient, high quality, and confidential administrative support to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor University Services.

The University Services portfolio comprises a range of corporate services that support our people to achieve excellence in their various academic and professional endeavours for the University. The service areas include Strategy and the Strategic Programme Management Office; Information Technology Services; Finance and Procurement; National Facilities; People and Culture; Health, Safety and Wellbeing; The University Printery  

Based in Palmerston North, Auckland or Wellington, these roles will be a part of the team support to the wider Office of the Provost and provide guidance and support to other administrators in the team.

The role requires this person to have:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, being receptive and helpful when dealing with a diverse range of people within the University and externally.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle varying levels of complexity and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively as an effective team member, with absolute discretion when dealing with sensitive situations and confidential matters.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a high level of maturity, initiative, and personal integrity.
  • Proven ability for accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to question.
  • Demonstrated competence in the management of administrative office functions and business processes.
