We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Faculty Operations, the School Manager will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the School of Communication Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the operational activities of the School, including resource allocation, scheduling, and facilities management.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the School's budget with the school management accountant, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Staff Management: Supervise administrative staff within the School, providing leadership, support, and guidance as needed.
  • Academic Support: Collaborate with academic staff to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing the School's academic reputation and student experience.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty members, students, alumni, and industry partners.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and accreditation standards governing academic programs and operations within the School.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance or similar
  • Minimum 15+ years experience in management of a medium to large organisation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in a tertiary education environment
