Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

You will provide high-quality, proficient administrative support for the staff of the School of Mathematics and Statistics using a collaborative team approach and engaging in efficient processes and flexible working practices.

Our administrators work together to support each other and ensure that all staff, students, and visitors to the School receive a warm welcome and all enquiries are effectively dealt with in a courteous manner.

You have significant administrative experience, ideally in an education-related environment. You have experience organising events and experience using a variety of databases and social media/marketing tools.

You have the flexibility to thrive in a busy environment, have a positive can-do attitude, and a strong attention to detail. You work effectively and enjoy problem solving, whether you're working independently or collaborating with the team.

As you will be working with a diverse range of people, it's important that you are a clear and effective communicator and enjoy building positive working relationships. You know how to be professional, but also have a warm personality and sense of humour.

You have an active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori.
