The Quality Advancement Unit is part of the Academic Division.  The Unit provides a range of quality improvement focused review and survey activities to the University community.  Its core tasks include the provision of advice and support for the formal reviews programme; management and operation of core institutional student and graduate opinion surveys, course and teaching evaluations; and direction and co-ordination of the University’s response to external academic audit.

The role/Te mahi

As a Reviews Administrator, you will provide proactive and high-quality administrative support for the University’s formal reviews programme, which incorporates internal departmental, programme, administrative and special topic reviews, and external graduating year reviews.  

The position also supports the University’s preparations for external academic audit and other quality advancement activities.

Successful candidates will have:
•    Prior experience in a busy and complex administrative role where high levels of customer service delivery are expected.  
•    High levels of organisation, tactfulness, and diplomacy.
•    Sound communication and computer literacy.
•    The ability to maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality.

In this role, you will be required to work with staff and students at all levels of the organisation as well as alumni, business and community representatives.  

Knowledge of the University’s structure, processes and culture would be an advantage.

This is a part-time, permanent position with working hours that are flexible and variable to accommodate review scheduling, but approximate to 26.5 hours a week.  

During a review visit (normally three days) the role requires lunchtime and after hours work and may involve some limited weekend work.  

The role is based at our Dunedin campus and may require travel to the Christchurch or Wellington campuses from time to time.

We offer competitive salary, 5 weeks’ annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
