Researcher (Climate adaptation)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Landscape Scientist to undertake research to understand how terrestrial landscapes can support climate adaptation in New Zealand whilst integrating objectives of climate mitigation, multiple ecosystem services provision and biodiversity conservation.
This position isfixed term (2 years), full time, reports to a Capability Leader within the Land Use and Ecosystems team, and is based at our Palmerston North site.
You will possess a PhD in physical geography, landscape ecology, biology, environmental management/science, or related fields. You will have a track record in conducting and publishing international high-level research that directly addresses global change issues. Ideally, you will have experience in combining original data collection and modelling. You will be a well-organized, flexible, pragmatic and reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
The salary for this role ranges from $82,000 to $92,000 depending on work experience.
