Research Officer (CSER)

The Department of Soil & Physical Sciences is currently looking for a Research Officer who will provide research project management support and research activity to enable the Centre for Soil & Environmental Research (CSER) to conduct and deliver on the objectives of multiple externally funded research contracts.

To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:

  • A PhD in soil science or agricultural science or environmental science, or other relevant qualifications in this area of research. Experience in managing and conducting research programmes.
  • Experience in managing and conducting laboratory and field based research.
  • Experience in writing research applications and writing research reports.
  • Evidence of research interpretation, reporting and manuscript preparation through a developing record of scholarly research and publication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.

This is a full time, permanent position.
